2017 was a year with amazing movies, some of them were brilliant while there were movies which disappointed the audiences. The viewers are going to be treated this year as there are some brilliant movies up for release with a big star cast, great directors, locations, beautiful music and a lot more.
With Padmavat’s release date being January 25th, there are some other movies in 2018 that are highly anticipated.
Here is a small rundown of the 3 movies which seem to be a worth wait in 2018:
1) Sanjay Dutt biopic:
The film that is directed by Rajkumar Hirani, starring Ranbir Kapoor who plays the role of ‘Sanju Baba’, Paresh Rawal playing his father’s role and Manisha Koirala playing the role of ‘Nargis’. The film also stars Dia Mirza, Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal and Sonam Kapoor.
Recently Rajkumar Hirani took to Twitter to announce the official date of the movie as June 29; before this, the movie was supposed to release on March 30.
The movie will be based on the life of Sanjay Dutt, his ups and downs, his drug history, jail sentences, 1993 bomb blast case, Bollywood career and personal life.
This is one of the most awaited movies of 2018, getting delayed since 2017. 2.0 is a sequel to Rajnikanth’s ‘Robot’ directed by S.Shankar.
2.0 will be starring Rajnikanth as the protagonist, Akshay Kumar as the lead antagonist and actress Amy Jackson. This is the first Indian film shot in 3D, and the only film till date in India to be released in 15 languages. Made on a budget of a whopping 450 crores, is all slated to release on 14th April.
3) Thugs of Hindostan:
Starring Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayub is slated to release in 2018’s Diwali on 7th of November.
Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, produced under the Yash Raj Banner, it is made on a budget of 210 crores.
This film is based on a novel called ‘Confessions of a Thug’ by Philip Meadows Taylor and is about a gang of thugs during the time of the British rule in India. The thugs were a big threat to the British empire.
