Patriotic movies are known to be those that awake people – jolt them back into the reality about their country, inspiring patriotic spirit within them.

The tastes of the audience have developed and they are now more prone towards films which are filled with hardcore reality, not illusions. Patriotic movies have drama, war, love and many other perspectives which are really interesting.

Here are some movies which have released and will release in 2018 that will inspire the audiences and bring us closer to reality:

1) Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran

This movie revolves around the first time India took a step of developing nuclear weapons, seeing other countries developing nukes. India saw this as a threat as it was the only country which was not having nuclear weapons. Starring John Abraham, Diana Penty and Boman Irani in the lead roles, the movie will be releasing on 25th May 2018. Parmanu is all about the nuclear test explosion done by India in Pokhran, in Rajasthan.

2) Raazi

Starring Alia Bhatt, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Vicky Kaushal, the film has done great business. Revolving around the life of a 20-year-old Indian girl, who gets married to a Pakistani army officer to spy in Pakistan, the movie is gripping. Raazi is all about Indian pride and putting your country first.

3) Paltan:

Remember this movie? It was in the news when Abhishek Bachchan left this movie due to some undisclosed reasons. Directed by JP Dutta who has given us patriotic war movies like ‘Border’ and ‘L.O.C. Kargil’, Paltan seems promising. Paltan’s star cast is big, starring Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood and many more. Paltan is based on the 1967 Nathu La and Cho-La India-China military clashes. The movie is slated to release on 7th September 2018.

4) Gold:

Reema Kagti’s ‘Gold’ is the story of India’s first Olympian Gold Medals after independence. Starring Akshay Kumar as the coach of the Indian hockey team, Amit Sadh and also Mouni Roy who will be making her first Bollywood debut. The date of the movie has not yet shifted from 15th August 2018, as the makers of ‘2.0’ also starring Akshay Kumar and South superstar Rajnikanth wanted the same date for the film.
