The director is often referred to as the ‘captain of the ship’. It is the direction of a movie that makes it come alive from the script.

While most directors’ faces are never seen on screen, there are some who have played great roles. Their work is being noticed and they’re getting appreciated. Artists are not at all being restricted in our country because each and every person discovers their passion in that area.

1) Tigmanshu Dhulia:

Remember Ramadhir Singh from, Gangs of Wasseypur series? Apart from this, he has also acted in a movie called ‘Shahid’, also starring Rajkummar Rao.

3) Nishikant Kamat:

John Abraham’s action-packed thriller ‘Rocky Handsome’ is remembered for its action, and also the main antagonist played by the director of ( Drishyam, Force and Madaari) Nishikant Kamat.

4) Guru Dutt:

The masterpiece of Indian cinema, we have known Dutt only as a director when he made his debut in the industry by directing ‘Baazi’ in 1951. Some years later he acted in movies like ‘Pyaasa’ and many more which even today are a must watch for every Bollywood lover.

5) Anurag Kashyap:

He is famous globally, the director is India’s ‘Tarantino’. Kashyap played the role of a corrupt police officer and villain in Sonakshi Sinha’s ‘Akira’. Anurag has also acted alongside ‘Nana Patekar’ in ‘Shagird’.
