This generation is crazy about travel – they understand that travel grows you as a person, giving you a chance to see the world that is completely different than the one you have grown up in.
While we plan our next trip, let’s try and make it more memorable than the last one. Here are five things you should take along on your next trip to feel like a perfect traveller:
1. A Polaroid camera:
One thing that we miss about the last century is photo albums. The digital litter is where our photos often get lost and we rarely look back upon those memories. Buying a Polaroid camera will allow you to have instant amazing prints that you can keep looking at without the need for a gadget. Use the polaroid sparingly – only for the best times. A polaroid camera by Fujifilm starts from ₹3600-4000.
2. A binocular:
A binocular or a monocular will allow you see farther than what your eyes can. Be it star-gazing, bird-watching or simply staring at a snow-clad peak, your experience gets magnified. You can get decent binoculars for ₹800-₹1000 online. Get one! You’ll feel like the captain of the ship who takes out a monocular from his pocket and stares into the sea.
3. A music player & earphones:
Phones are okay but having a dedicated music player is an undisturbed flow of music without internet, messages or calls. You can get an MP3 player and groove to the music with your earphones plugged in. Some sceneries need nice background music. Cheap MP3 players are available online that will do the trick.
4. A book, a sketchbook, a small flute – anything that is a reminder of your hobby:
Anything that reminds you of the hobby that you have long forgotten. Be it reading, painting, playing a musical instrument, photography – pursue your hobby in the vacation which you haven’t pursued back home. It might feel like additional luggage at first but eventually, you’ll realise its worth. It will make your trip turn into a complete experience.
5. A map and a compass:
Go old school. You have no idea about the kind of fun you’ll have with your gang if you ban GPS for the vacation and use the gold old away to navigate. A small compass and a foldable map won’t even take up space and will take out the tourist and add the traveller to your soul. Try it once!
Don’t forget your camera!
Are you going to try these things on your next trip? Bon voyage!
