5 More Biopics We Are Looking Forward To, Are You Too?

Since the time  ‘Sanju’s trailer has been dropped on the social media, it has been creating many rounds of applause for the acting ‘Ranbir Kapoor’ has done. This might be the golden spoon he has been looking for in his dying career, this one movie can bring him back in the game. Biopics have such kind of an effect on the audience’s mind. Since the past few years we have seen many biopics and out of which the flop ratio is extremely less.

These are the biopics we are looking forward to:

Kalpana Chawla biopic:

Yet the title of the movie has not been decided, but we do know that it is one of favourites where Priyanka Chopra will be essaying the role of ‘Kalpana Chawla’. For the very first time Chopra will be taking up the role of an Indian-American astronaut. It is quite evident that this will be one of her comebacks in the Bollywood industry after being a part of the Hollywood industry.

‘Salute’ is based on the life of ‘Rakesh Sharma’ he is the first Indian to enter the space. Sharma is an astronaut and his role in this biopic is portrayed by, Shahrukh Khan. Aamir Khan was initially offered the role but he gave it to SRK due to some time and date issues. Currently, the leading lady is being finalized for ‘Salute’ there have been speculations between Kareena Kapoor or Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The movie will start this year and release in mid next year.


This has not been in the news but it is a movie which is surely going to touch millions of hearts in India. ‘Jhalki’ is based on the life of ‘Kailash Satyarthi’ who is the man responsible to eradicate child labour for which he even won a Nobel Prize. ‘Boman Irani’ will be filling ‘Satyarthi’s’ shoes in the movie. Kailash Satyarthi founded the ‘Bachpan Bachao Andolan’ in 1980 and has been protecting the rights of children from 144 countries. Recently the movie was shot in ‘Meerut’ where the temperature was 47 degree Celsius.

India won the International Cricket World Cup in 1983, under the captainship and leadership of amazing player, Kapil Dev. A biopic is being made on the player and the theme surrounding the World Cup India won. None other than ‘Ranveer Singh’ has been signed by the director, Kabir Khan, to play the role of Kapil Dev who was an all-rounder and captain of the team. The shooting, however, will start after some months as the actor is busy shooting for ‘Rohit Shetty’s ‘Simmba’. Currently, the makers of ‘83’ are searching for a lead heroine but they have not finalized yet. The film will be releasing next year in April.

The Accidental Prime Minister:

The movie has been in news for many months. As the title of the movie is ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ the movie revolves around the ‘Life of India’s former Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh’. The current look of the actor who is playing the former PM, actor Anupam Kher looks exactly like Manmohan Singh with the white beard, glasses and the turban. The film is directed by award-winning director, Hansal Mehta.
