5 Must-Watch Bollywood Movies That Depict The Impact Of Terrorism

Terrorism is a very sensitive subject as the viewers will instantly get connected to it because they’ve been experiencing this problem for a long time. There have been so many terror attacks in the world which have snatched so much from the people – something that can never be replaced.

These movies are great depictions of what terrorism is and what it does.

1) New York:

Directed by Kabir Khan starring John Abraham, Katrina Kaif, Irrfan Khan and Neil Nitin Mukesh this movie is based on the 9/11 attacks and what was it after effect, how one specific community was looked with the eye of suspicion. It also portrays the incidents which backfired on the USA and rekindled hatred.

2) A Wednesday:

Based on the through of a common man who wants to clean the city and who takes the responsibility of cleaning the city in his own way by challenging the police department. The film depicts the ire of the common man who is fed up with the inadequacy of various law and order mechanisms. Naseeruddin Shah and Anupam Kher have performed very well in the film, as usual.

3) Kurbaan:

This movie was not a box office success but brilliant acting was done by Om Puri, Saif Ali Khan, and Kareena Kapoor. The movie clearly portrays the message that ‘revenge’ is the worst solution to any problem. It leaves you with one question that why everywhere one specific community or religion is being targeted in the world? How much falsity or truth is there in that mindset?

4) Dil Se…:

Mani Ratnam’s one of the finest movies till now which deals with the subject of terrorism in a very mature way. Shahrukh Khan who plays the lead role falls in love with a suicide bomber whose role is played by Manisha Koirala and Preity Zinta plays the role of a girl who is going to get married to SRK. This movie is a saga of love and terrorism and you have to see it until the end, to know what happens.

5) Phantom:

The 2008 terrorist attacks in Mumbai city shocked everyone – this movie is about how India plans on to take revenge by appointing one man to kill only the people who were behind the attack that took the lives of innocent people. The movie stars Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif in lead roles, directed by Kabir Khan. This was an unsuccessful movie at the box office but it won critical acclaim for the cast and crew.
