Bollywood is a source of entertainment for the Indians, but many times Bollywood has taken efforts and made wonderful films, which has made a positive and inspiring impact on the audiences. Here are 5 of them.

1) Lakshya (2004):

Starring Hrithik Roshan, Priety Zinta and Amitabh Bachchana and directed by one of the best, Farhan Akhtar, Lakshya changed the outlook of the audience for the Indian Cinema. The movie tells a story about a man who does not have any aim in life and how his life takes turns he had never imagined as the movie progresses ahead. It is an amazing film, with an extraordinary journey.

2) Guru (2006):

Directed by Mani Ratnam, starring Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai, Guru was a huge hit. It was well appreciated by the audience and called as Abhishek Bachchan’s finest performance till date. It released three months before the duo’s marriage.

Guru is based on Dhirubhai Ambani’s life journey and talks about struggle, pain and loss.  Abhishek Bachchan and Rai are the central characters. It is a story about a man who is unstoppable in life, moving ahead with one aim of owning the largest business in India.

3) Swades (2004):

Swades was a masterstroke, directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, starring Shah Rukh Khan. It is a story about a man who works in NASA, living a content life but his heart is in India as he has never forgot that he is there because of his close one living in India, who helped him a lot in his childhood. Deciding to visit a rural village in India, he finds a purpose. The purpose to change the mindset of the people for the betterment of the village and in the end he is not able to leave the village and settles there. Swades is Ashutosh Gowariker’s best till date and Shah Rukh Khan’s best performance now. The movie talks about individual responsibility, patriotism and innovation.

4) Udaan (2010):

This was 2010’s best movie – a small-budget movie with a big heart and a message. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, starring Rajat Barmecha, Ronit Roy and Ram Kapoor, Udaan is a story about a boy, his life and all the basic things what a boy does in his adolescence. It also talks about the boy’s abusive father, their relationship, younger step-brother, and the bond he shares with his uncle who supports him always.

Udaan has a message that, life will always go on. You should never stop and do what you are going to do.

5) Rang De Basanti (2006):

Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra’s best directional venture starring Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Soha Ali Khan and others was loved by the youth. This  is a fun-loving movie for an hour but then the course of the movie changes drastically.

When a friend dies due to the degrading system in India and its dirty politics, their life changes drastically. The message in this movie is that, everything can change, if you want it to. Just do your responsibility with courage and without fear.

There are lots of other movies which should be seen, but these are one of the most appreciated movies and can make a striking impact.
