6 Actors Who Started Their Careers With TV Ads

Television advertisements are one of the best modes to enter the Bollywood industry and to get noticed. In this market, only the directors or casting directors get an idea of how much potential the actor or actress has within.

There are many celebrities who have just done a normal 15 to 30 seconds of T.V. Ads and have now reached the level of success in Indian cinema.

1) Vidya Balan:

This ‘Dirty Picture’ actress back in her teenage days did the advertisement for ‘Surf’ wherein she plays the role of a concerned mother. She has also done various other ads for Active Wheel, Clinic Plus etc. It played a huge role in her life which helped her in getting more ads and then finally an entry in the industry.

2) Yami Gautam:

Yami Gautam made her debut along with actor Ayushmann Khurrana in ‘Vicky Donor’, but before this, she was the brand ambassador of a fairness cream and till now she has not stopped endorsing the product.

3) Preity Zinta:

The ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ actress was seen in Cadbury’s Perk chocolate advertisement for the first time on T.V. but after that, she became the refreshing face of Liril soap. Eventually, she got her break in the Bollywood industry.

4) Anushka Sharma:

She was the face of a South Indian skincare brand which was her first brand and thereafter she entered the industry 10 years ago with ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ – she is still endorsing a global leading skincare brand.

5) Varun Dhawan:

The ‘Judwaa 2’ actor’s first ever television advertisement was for ‘Bournvita’ many years back when he was a kid. Now the kid has grown up and made his way as a successful actor in the B-town. He had also done various others ads as a kid.

6) Aishwarya Rai:

The ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ actress had started doing ads for Camlin Pencils even before winning the Miss World title back in 1994. Rai was noticed by the audience when she featured in the ad for Pepsi alongside Aamir Khan and Mahima Chaudhary.
