6 Movie Remakes To Look Forward To In Bollywood

The trend of remakes had reduced some time back, but now it is evident that it is gaining momentum again in the Bollywood industry. There was a time when Bollywood use to remake movies from the Hollywood.

Now again there are upcoming movies which are releasing in the near future that are remakes – but these original movies are not ordinary they’re cult classics. Remakes are done from any kind of a regional movie also, as regional cinema is on cloud nine in India.

1) Arjun Reddy:

Shahid Kapoor recently signed the official Bollywood remake of this movie. Arjun Reddy was one of the highest grossing movies in the South Indian Cinema, plus it won many awards and accolades. It is a love story, which has action and drama – in short, ‘Arjun Reddy’ is a perfect story for the Indian viewers which will promise them all kinds of entertainment. What is more surprising is that director of the original ‘Sandeep Reddy Vanga’ will direct the remake also. The leading lady is ‘Tara Sutaria’ who is making her debut in the industry, in Karan Johar’s ‘Student Of The Year 2’.

2) Rambo:

The whole world is familiar with Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone’s character. That beefed up the body, scary eyes, the will to fight and heavy guns in the hands = Rambo. Tiger Shroff has movies like ‘Student Of The Year 2’ and another untitled one with ‘Hrithik Roshan’ and actress ‘Vaani Kapoor’ which will be directed by Siddharth Anand, in his pockets. Rambo remake will also be directed by Siddharth Anand and star Shroff, but the shooting will be taking place in November 2019 according to the speculations and will release in 2020.


3) Dhadak:

Both the actors in this movie will be making their debuts in the Bollywood industry, Jahnvi Kapoor the daughter of late superstar ‘Sridevi’ and Boney Kapoor. The male lead of ‘Dhadak’ is Ishaan Khattar, who is the half-brother of actor Shahid Kapoor. ‘Dhadak’ is a remake of the 2016’s super hit Marathi movie ‘Sairat’, which was a romantic drama revolving around the theme of ‘honour killing’. The shooting of ‘Dhadak’ is almost complete, directed by Shashank Khaitan and will be releasing this year on 20th July.

4) Fanne Khan:

This movie has been in the news and people do know about it due to the super talented star cast viz. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao and Anil Kapoor. This is a musical comedy movie which has been adapted from the Oscar-nominated Dutch film, ‘Everybody’s Famous’, which released in 2000. ‘Fanne Khan’ has been produced under the banner of ‘Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’ and directed by Atul Manjrekar. The musical comedy-drama releases on 13th July 2018.

5) Simmba:

Recently the poster of ‘Simmba’ was released and it took everyone by shock when they saw that ‘Ranveer Singh’ is playing the role of a corrupt cop in the movie. ‘Simmba’ will be directed by the king of commercial cinema, Rohit Shetty. We are sure that this movie will be action-comedy-drama packed. ‘Simmba’ is a remake of the Telugu movie ‘Temper’. The movie is an official Bollywood remake as the rights were also bought. ‘Sara Ali Khan’ the daughter ‘Saif Ali Khan’ and his ex-wife ‘Amrita Singh’, will be featured playing the role of female lead, opposite Ranveer in the movie. ‘Simmba’ is also set to release this year in December.

6) The Fault In Our Stars:

A Bollywood movie which is a remake of the best selling novel of the same name and also there is a Hollywood movie which was adapted from the novel. The Hollywood movie was a super hit. The Bollywood one is starring ‘Sushant Singh Rajput’ and the female lead is ‘Sanjana Sanghi’ which will be her first debut as a solo role. She was first seen as playing the role of ‘Nargis Fakhri’s sister in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Rockstar’. The best part of the remake is that the music has been composed by ‘A.R.Rahman’.
