Indian Cinema’s star of the millennium, Amitabh Bachchan, has appeared in more than 190 Indian films till now. The actor has had a career of almost five decades in the industry and counting.
The actor has been through many ups and downs in his life but he has emerged victorious through it. One incident when the actor was at the peak of his career in 1982 while shooting for Manmohan Desai’s 1983 film ‘Coolie’ was shocking. While filming an action sequence with Puneet Issar at the Bangalore University Campus, Bachchan got critically injured.
A night before this accident happened on the sets of the movie, the actor revealed that famous actress ‘Smita Patil’ had a bad dream about him. He shared the incident at the book launch of a book about Patil’s life.
According to the report in Times of India, the actor said, “I was in Bangalore shooting for ‘Coolie’ once. Late into the night at around 2 am I received call in my hotel room. The receptionist informed me that it was Smita Patil on the line. I was shocked as I had never spoken or talked to her at such a time. Thinking that it would be an important one, I answered,” Bachchan said. “Smita asked me if I was alright and in good health. I answered yes and she said that she just had a bad dream about me and that’s the reason behind calling up so late in the night. The next day I had my accident.”
This incident can be called as a very telepathic connection between the two stars that she called Mr. Bachchan to tell him about what dream she had and the next day such a sudden accident took place. The accident scene was not done properly and it resulted in an internal abdominal injury. The actor recovered after 6 months, started the shooting of the film and it went on to become a super-hit.
