After the famous Vishakha case that was a landmark judgement which set guidelines for sexual harassment at the workplace, most thought that the situation would improve. But as we see more and more women from Bollywood like Kangana Ranaut and Tanushree Dutta talk about how they were sexually harassed, we understand that things haven’t really improved a lot.
These alarming statistics about sexual harassment at workplace bring us a little bit closer to the truth as many of us think that the world is a much better place for women than what it was. That is only partially true.
In an already difficult work environment where many male egos are constantly bruised when women outperform them, women face a bigger, darker challenge for being abused sexually.
