Bollywood Actors Who Have Won International Awards


Being celebrated internationally once in your career is one of the best things you might want from your life. Whether it is Bollywood or any other industry, international acclaim is a big thing.

These actors made a name for themselves internationally by winning international awards. All the appreciation, hard work and their contribution to the cinema community, is something to be very proud of.

1) Manoj Bajpayee:


You know him for his intense roles in the movies. He is known for his acting skills because he camouflages as his character so much that it’ll be his acting which will lift up the movie. His one such performance is in ‘Aligarh’ along with talented Rajkummar Rao for which Bajpayee won the Best Actor Award at the Asia Pacific Screen Award.

2) Priyanka Chopra:


Now the actress is a global icon but back then when she was not, her performances used to speak for her. One such performance is opposite Ranbir Kapoor, in director Anurag Basu’s ‘Barfi’ wherein she essays the role of an autistic girl. This performance won her the ‘Actor of the year Female Award’ at the Indian Films and Television Award and also the Nielson Box Office Star Award in 2009. Chopra’s acting led her to being selected for the role of Alex Parish, after giving an audition for the American based TV series in ‘Quantico’. She had also won two People’s Choice Awards.

3) Rajkummar Rao:


He seems to be the ultimate power packed house of talent, with each and every movie there is something new what we get to know about himself. Rao has been awarded the Variety Asia Rising Star and Best Actor at Asia Pacific Screen Awards.

4) Shahrukh Khan:


Khan is the only actor who has won the most amount of International Awards among Bollywood actors. Recently Khan was given the Crystal Award at the World Economic Forum.

5) Radhika Apte:


She is a promising face in the industry and her acting has been appreciated by audiences and critics alike. Apte is a versatile actress. She had acted in director Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Madly’ which won her the best actress award in an International Narrative Feature at the Tribeca Festival.

Bollywood keeps making India proud.
