The world’s longest glass bridge was recently opened in China’s Hebei province. The Hongyagu glass bridge is located at a height of 715 feet and just guess how long would it be? A crazy 1600 feet!
The visitors who have been to this bridge so far have trembled at their knees while attempting to cross the bridge that connects to mountain peaks. China has claimed that this will be the world’s longest glass bottom bridge.
The bridge is constructed of 4cm thick, 1077 glass panels. Only 500-600 people will be allowed on the bridge at a time even though it can accommodate up to 2000 people. While walking on the bridge you must wear special shoe gloves to protect its glass surface.
It took around 3 years to build this bridge which can resist even the strongest winds. The scenic views that one can enjoy from the bridge which is many times covered with fog – are breathtaking.
