We all know that Deepika Padukone first big break in Bollywood was in the movie, Om Shanti Om, with Shah Rukh Khan directed by Farah Khan which helped her achieve greater heights in the film industry and she became one among the top paid actresses in the film industry.
She also got featured in the Hollywood film, XXX Return of Xander Cage with Vin Diesel.
But did you know that which was her very first film overall? Her very first break was in a Kannada movie, Aishwarya which was released in 2006, directed by Indrajit Lankesh. It was a remake of Manmadhudu, a romantic comedy Telugu film.
She played a role opposite of Upendra Rao where Abhishek Hegde was the name of hero.
The story is about the hero Abhishek who has been betrayed in love and begins hating women. After that a woman named, Aishwarya (Deepika Padukone) enters Abhishek’s life and love blossoms once again for him. The film released on 15th September 2006.
Later after that, she starred in a song in Himesh Reshammiya’s Aap Ka Suroor Movie which was shot in 2007. Actress Hansika Motwani played the lead role in this film. The film had a song ‘Naam Hain Tera’ which featured Deepika Padukone.
The album Aap Ka Suroor became popular among youngsters when it was released.
When the movie Om Shanti Om became a massive hit, it became the highest grossing film of the year in 2007 which won many Filmfare awards.
At that time Taran Adarsh had tweeted:
