Deepika Padukone Once Slapped A Man, Here’s Why

Yes, you read it right, the Padmaavat actress slapped a man once. The actress is currently very happy as her movie is being praised and appreciated by the audiences globally. Padukone’s performance in the movie as the leading actress who is playing the role of the queen of ‘Singhal’ now in Sri Lanka ‘Padmavati’ has been applauded.

Deepika Padukone since some months was constantly surrounded by the clouds of threat due to the controversy surrounding ‘Padmaavat’ plus she was away from her home. Recently in an interview, the actress stated that her parents know and have confidence in her that she will be able to take care of herself and defend herself in the tough times. She shared an incident which had changed the outlook of her parents towards her when she was very young.

Deepika Padukone in an interview with India Today said,”I was 14 or 15. I remember one evening my family and I were walking down the street. We had probably finished eating at a restaurant. My sister and my father walked ahead and my mother and I were walking behind. And this man brushed past me. I could have, at that point, ignored, pretended like it didn’t happen. I turned back, followed this person, caught him by the collar in the middle of the street, slapped him and walked away.”

This is the incident due to which the actresses parents have faith in their daughter that she can take care of herself under any circumstances. How many women have had the same courage as Deepika had at a very young age? Her action is inspiring.

The film ‘Padmaavat’ has received positive word of mouth among the audiences and it is shattering at the box office records with strong numbers.
