Did You Know That These Bollywood Stars Are Skilled Martial Artists?

Not all Bollywood stars get a body double to perform martial arts on screen. Many of them even perform the action stunts on their own while shooting for a movie, this is the reason why they marvellously perform it in reality.

Martial arts is known to be a skill that has been used in various action sequences to make them more power packet. These Bollywood actors and actresses are skilled martial artists:

1) Vidyut Jamwal:

This actor made his debut in ‘Force’ and the viewers were surprised seeing him doing the action sequences with so much precision because he is a strict practitioner of ‘Kalaripayattu’, which is a martial art form in the state of ‘Kerala’. The actor is learning this practice since the age of 4 which includes grappling, healing methods, kicks, combat, strikes and a lot more.

2) Randeep Hooda:

Bollywood’s one of the finest talents, Hooda has taken the responsibility of training some of the Mumbai city’s firefighters in Mixed Martial Arts. The ‘Jannat 2’ actor also co-owns a Super Fighter League team named ‘Haryana Sultans’.

3) Priyanka Chopra:

The ‘Fashion’ actress went for martial arts training for the shooting of ‘Don’ alongside SRK. She polished her training more for ‘Drona’ and then ‘Don 2’. Priyanka has learned ‘Gatka’ which is a style of stick fighting, practised more by the Sikhs in the state of Punjab.

4) Aishwarya Rai:

The ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ actress while shooting along with superstar ‘Rajnikanth’ for ‘Robot’ has undergone martial arts training. The actress got the guidance of ‘Ramesh’ who ran the Japan Shito-Ryu Karate school in India for more than 30 years.

5) Akshay Kumar:

Everyone knows about this actor and the level of fitness he maintains in this age. Akshay has taken training in Muay Thai, which is a martial art form in Thailand. He also runs self-defence classes in Mumbai especially for girls so that they can handle their safety better – for free.
