The Indian Cricket team is widely known all over the globe. The reason being their performances, passion for playing, and the players who are never satisfied. The people of India should be knowing about the facts of the Indian Cricket Team, since it is one of the oldest sports in the country, and it is a ‘religion’ for most.

Right now the cricket team is playing against England in England, the test series of 5 test matches. Out of which one India has lost and 4 are remaining.

1. The god of cricket Sachin Tendulkar got out only once on duck in his entire Ranji Trophy career and that by whom? By Bhuvneshwar Kumar who was 19 back then and now is one of the fastest pacers of the Indian cricket team.

2. Did you know who was the first cricketer to score a test century for India? A very talented and young Lala Amarnath was the first cricketer who scored a test century for India.

3. Ravi Shastri who is the coach of the team now was the first Indian to hit 6 sixes in an over, in a Ranji Trophy Match between Baroda and Bombay in 1985.

4. The player who has the highest number of T20 international runs is an Indian and a female, none other than the star player of the women’s team, Mithali Raj who has scored 2000 runs internationally.

5. Sourav Ganguly aka Dada was a successful batsman and the captain of the Indian cricket Team before Dhoni. He is the only player to win a four consecutive ‘Man of the Match’ awards in the ODIs. A wild guess against whom? Pakistan. This incident was between Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar and Australian bowler Brad Hogg. Hogg asked Tendulkar to sign a photograph of the batsman’s dismissal. Sachin signed and wrote that ‘ it will never happen again ‘. It has never happened after that, this is the confidence of the Indian batsman.

6. Mohammad Azharuddin is the only batsman in the world who has scored three consecutive centuries in the first three tests matched the batsman played. Till now the record is intact and has not been broken by anyone.

7. Everyone knows the Australian legend Sir Donald Bradman, the most successful batsman in the cricket history. He has been stumped out only 11 times in his entire career out of which one is done by an Indian, Prabir Sen, the Indian wicket keeper.

8. These two Indian batsmen have been stumped out only once in their entire test career, the bowler was the same for both of them, Ashley Giles of England. Many people would be knowing the two batsmen, Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar.
