These Famous Actors Weren’t The First Choice For These Blockbuster Movies

Baazigar with Salman Khan in the lead, instead of Shah Rukh Khan. 3 idiots without Aamir Khan. Can’t imagine?

Great, now thanks to actors for making sure their contemporaries gets one of the best scripts.

Following a list of stars and the movies, they weren’t part of, foremost to their contemporaries starring in them. You will be shocked.

First Silk (The Dirty Picture): National Award winning performance of Vidya Balan for The Dirty Picture might not have been hers. Kangana Ranaut chose Tanu Weds Manu over The Dirty Picture. Bad miss?

First Rancho(3 Idiots) : 3 Idiots is one of the biggest blockbusters of the Hindi film industry. In one of his interviews, SRK admitted being the “4th” idiot for not doing it.

First Baazigar (Baazigar): When Abbas-Mustan approached Salman Khan, he felt that since it’s a story of a negative character, he shouldn’t do it. He requested the makers to add positive shades to it. They didn’t agree. Finally, Shah Rukh Khan confirmed to be part of this revenge flick.

First Leela (Ram Leela) : Seeing Kareena Kapoor’s bold role in Heroine, makers signed her. She was supposed to do Ram-Leela but after a few days of the shoot, the actress changed her mind. There have been times when she’d sign a film and then felt it was wrong. For e.g., Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. So, Deepika Padukone stepped in.

First Milkha Singh (Bhaag Milkha Bhaag):  All that time, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the director, felt that Akshay Kumar was correct for the role of the protagonist, considering Akshay’s lean and curved physique. But during Milkha’s initial interaction with Farhan, he learned that he has the same accent as him, almost finding him to be Singh’s his incarnate. Milkha Singh considered Farhan Akhtar as the best choice,  realized that he was the best man.

Several contemporary blockbusters, which had done wonders for their lead actors, were turned down by other Bollywood superstars. We can never imagine the first-choice ones in the place of the ones who actually played the roles, can we?
