The Himalayas are the largest mountain range in the world. It is one of the youngest range in the world, aged around 50 million years. The mountain range is a fascinating thing when you will be in the Himalayas or seeing them from far. The place has such a vibe that it will force you to stay there. But with this, it is also one of the most dangerous ranges in the world.

There are so many mysteries surrounding the mountains. Despite so many instances, this is a home for the mountain lovers and climbers. This place is also a home to the highest mountain in the world, Mt. Everest. The range covers in so many countries like India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Tibet, China, and Nepal. In India, if you want to see the range then there are many states like Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh to visit. A glimpse of the mountains will leave you breathless such is the beauty.

The Himalayas are the only place in the world where there are so many unknown dangerous peaks. But this one is a famous one and also risky while climbing. It is called the ‘Nanga Parbat’ which is among the world’s top ten highest peaks, located in Pakistan. Nanga Parbat is the second highest peak in Pakistan and the ninth in the world. It has a height of 8,126 meters long. The peak of the mountain is the most dangerous thing to climb as it is very steep to climb without anything around and it is also small in size. The peak is called ‘Killer Mountain’, which makes it risky for the climbers.

This is the only mountain range in the world which has 9 out of the 10 highest peaks in the world. In the Himalayas, there are more than 50 mountains which are above the height of 7,200 meters in elevation. The name of the mountain range in ‘Sanksrit’ is ‘abode of the snow’.
