Kangana Ranaut till date is the most controversial actress of the Bollywood industry. Her image in the media has often portrayed her boldness in everything and her extraordinary choice of roles has impressed the audience.
Born in Himachal Pradesh’s Bhambla near Manali city, Kangana completed her schooling from DAV high school in Dehradun. She is a very skilled basketball player since her schooling days and had an aspiration of becoming a doctor before she took up acting which was strongly disapproved by her parents. Ranaut was once thrown out of her house when her parents got to know about her acting dreams.
The ‘Queen’ actress was a theatre actor in Delhi’s ‘Asmita Theatre group’ and her first play was Girish Karnad’s Taledanda (Rakt Kalyan). Director Anurag Basu spotted the actress sitting in a cafe in 2005 and cast her for the lead role in ‘Gangster’ opposite Emraan Hashmi and Shiney Ahuja which went on to become a successful movie. Kangana got her entry in the Bollywood industry and won several accolades.
According to the reports, she had been in a controversy involving Aditya Pancholi, as the duo were dating and the actress filed a complaint against him for assault. Her next role was in ‘Woh Lamhe’ where she played the role of the actress ‘Parveen Babi’ which won her critical acclaim. Since then she has been one of the boldest and fearless actresses in the industry.
The movie ‘Life in a Metro’ won her the Stardust award for Breakthrough Performance Female. In 2008, Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Fashion’ made her career soar and made her win the National Award – she is the youngest till now who won it in the whole industry. The game-changing movie in the actress’ career was Anand L Rai’s ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ in 2012 opposite R Madhavan and in 2013 she became one of the most successful actresses due to her performance in ‘Queen’ which again won her many awards and then came ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ which was a worldwide hit.
Reportedly after acting in ‘Krrish 3’ alongside Hrithik Roshan, as per certain records the duo was dating, then had a fallout and it became the biggest controversy till date in the Bollywood Industry. Currently, she lives in Mumbai along with her sister Rangoli, who is an acid attack survivor. Ranaut is working hard for her upcoming movie which is based on Rani Laxmibai’s life titled Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi.
