Marriage Did Not Stop These Actresses From Making A Name For Themselves In The Movies

Many people feel that after the marriage a female Bollywood actress’ career is over, or she slowly herself distances from the industry. But here are some women who against all odds have proven this statement ultimately wrong.

These actresses gave spectacular performances even after they got married and their popularity continued to soar. They proved that marriage does not change anything unless you want it to.

Three cheers for these actresses:

1) Dimple Kapadia:

She was just 16 when her first movie ‘Bobby’ came out and six months before the release of her debut movie, she got married to superstar ‘Rajesh Khanna’. At a juvenile age who knows what and how there were many rumours that Rajesh Khanna had banned her from acting in films. Dimple Kapadia has earned herself so much name and praise since the time she had entered the industry, doing so many different roles, acting with so many artists, different types of movies and a lot more. After Bobby, we saw her in Saagar, Bees Saal Baad, Krantiveer and a hoard of other movies. The last film we saw her in was Welcome Back in 2015.

2) Adita Rao Hydari:

Everyone knows her now after ‘Padmaavat’. Rao married actor Satyadeep Mishra in 2007, at the time of her debut it was a secret. When this secret came out Hydari admitted that the duo had now separated but they share a special bond. This actress has come up on her own despite belonging to an illustrious family in Hyderabad. Her role in Padmaavat was appreciated by everyone.

3) Rakhee Gulzar:

One of the most successful actresses of her time, she has acted with so many superstars and actors. It was not possible to keep Rakhee away from the films.  In 1963, she had married Ajay Biswas, they got divorced in 1965,  She made her debut in ’67 in a Bengali movie. Thereafter in 1973 when she was at the peak of her career, she married the famous film director, poet, lyricist ‘Gulzaar’. Remember Kabhie Kabhie?
