Mumbai had come to stand-still yesterday after heavy rain disrupted the city and caused traffic snarls, flooded roads and stranded people. Many chose to sleep at their officers and not travel with the local train service disrupted in the city.
Cab operators ran emergency shuttle services to get people home safely – the same continuing even today. Lots of people opened their doors for shelter, while gurudwaras welcome people with open hearts and hands.
While everything was disrupted in the city, there was only one thing that kept the city strong – the spirit of the Mumbaikars. See the photos of the city below:
