“Scream for help if someone attacks you,” said an agony aunt. Someone else advised women to refrain for venturing out alone should they become victims of a sexual assault. For those who are tired of these cliched advices that were all about how women should restrict themselves and indicating that women could not defend themselves, there is a short film.
Niti Shastra is a powerful short film starring Taapsee Pannu that gives out a really simple message – two in fact. One, that you should simply learn to defend yourself on your own and two, you should not defend the men in your life when they are doing something wrong.
With a powerful reference to Arjun and the Bhagavad Gita, the climax is the highlight of this simple yet extremely hard-hitting short film.
The short film is directed by Kapil Verma and is presented by Large Short Films – #BarrelSelect.
