From Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi To Being Married : Here Is Anushka Sharma’s Journey

Bollywood’s special talent, Anushka Sharma, who recently got married to her beau Virat Kohli in a private wedding in Italy is a self-made woman. Sharma has acted in various hit movies as well as delivered flops but risen after.

Born on 1st May 1988, the 29 year old actress has been nominated 4 times for the Filmfare Awards.

Anushka Sharma never wanted to act:

Sharma never wanted to act in films, her main goal was to be a model she and she wanted to make a career in modelling.

After leaving modelling when she started giving auditions for Aditya Chopra’s films,she  received recognition and realised that she was meant for acting.

Her family background was very different:

Anushka’s father Ajay Kumar Sharma is a Colonel in military, elder brother Karnesh Sharma was in the Merchant Navy from childhood. She does not belong to an acting background.

Shahrukh Khan is her favourite actor:

Once the Band Baaja Baarat actress revealed that Shahrukh Khan is her favourite. She has given hits like Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi with him and is doing another movie with him and Katrina Kaif. Ranveer Singh used to be her favourite co-star.

Her first film could have been 3 idiots:

Sharma had auditioned for ‘3 idiots’ but that didn’t go through. Then she made her debut in Bollywood opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

Anushka Sharma is a very private person, she’s asked million of times about her beau Virat Kohli but never she has spoken anything about them. They also managed to keep their wedding secret for a year. She has never spoken up about her relationships as well.

Anushka was once seen in a movie that she didn’t act in:

In Lage Raho Munnabhai, Sharma’s poster as a model in seen in a shot in the Sanjay Dutt starrer. ‘Munna’ is seen walking past her poster. She had even retweeted it, when she first saw the scene.
