Khan was not always against award shows:
Aamir Khan is against the award shows now, but in the past during his initial days in the film industry he was not against them. It is alleged that Aamir Khan stopped believing in awards, when in the year of 1990 he lost the best actor award to Sunny Deol for Ghayal, when Khan was nominated for Dil. Till today, Khan has been nominated 17 times for the Filmfare award.
Aamir Khan doesn’t like to take a bath or eat:
Aamir Khan is a secretive person by nature as his wife Kiran Rao had once shared details about him in the media. She also said that he does not like to eat as he is a sufferer of an eating disorder. Kiran also said that Aamir does not like to bathe.
Khan married for the first time when he had just began his career:
Aamir Khan met his first wife, Reena Dutta before the release of his first film, a documentary called ‘Holi’ in 1984. In 1986, just 2 years after, the duo decided to get married. Reena Dutta is also seen in a shot of Aamir’s first big hit Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (QSQT). The couple have a son and the marriage did not last a long time, as they got a divorce.
Khan made his first film at the age of 16:
Along with his friend, Aditya Bhattacharya (Basu Bhattacharya’s son) made a silent film called Paranoia which was produced by Dr. Sriram Lagu.
Aamir worked backstage for 2 years with a theatre group:
Aamir Khan has always been a person who will do anything that he feels to do or right. Khan, in his initial days joined a theatre group called ‘Avantar’. He did the backstage work for 2 years in the group. Khan’s father was always against him choosing acting as a profession.
