At Aditya College Of Architecture’s 5th International Design Competition, students performed a fashion show. The theme for the festival was ‘‘INHABITING NATURE’; ‘an attempt to reconcile the relationship between man and nature by using architecture as a medium’.
The festival was inaugurated by architects, Shashi Prabhu, Tejas Vyas, Tarun Mota Harishchandra Mishra and Gurunathi Dalvi.
As per the college’s website, ‘the Competition invites the architectural fraternity of students and academics to Design an ‘Everyday Institution’ – ranging from built form and landscape to urban renewal and systems – that responds to the city, town or country it belongs to, where communities led by dreamers, rebels, wanderers and mad scientists within us, come together to rethink, innovate and implement new ways of creating spaces and demonstrate a ground for experimentation for the future of communities that inhabit nature harmoniously.’
Two architects from Malaysia, Ken Yeang and Andy Chon along with three architects from Mumbai, Vikas Dilawari, Jamshed Banaji, PK Das and one architect from Bengaluru, K.R. Jaisim, judged the competition.
