Sui Dhaaga – Made in India promotes ‘Unemployment to Self-Employment’
The trailer of Sharat Katariya’s ‘Sui Dhaaga – Made in India’ was recently released on the social media. Starring Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles. The trailer of movie pushes you into the realization mode that whatever you are doing, is it satisfying enough?
Dhawan plays the role of ‘Mauji’ who is a tailor, who works for someone else. He is repeatedly insulted, he is also slapped in front of the crowd and treated as a joker in various gatherings. This is because where he is working it feels more like an obligation rather than a job.
Anushka Sharma is playing the role of an Indian woman who knows embroidery well and has a vision. Anushka and Varun are married. They had an arranged marriage, which also has a problem angle. Sharma is tired of seeing his husband constantly getting insulted and humiliated. She initiates a heart-to-heart talk with Dhawan about starting their own business, rather than working here. There is another angle that is portrayed through Sharma’s character that she is constantly doing the household chores and is tired of doing that. It gives a subtle hint of the aspirations of the women of India that are beyond that of the kitchen.

Both of them start their own business of clothing when they realize that hard work is the only option they have if they want to earn money. This is the journey of self-employment when nothing works. The film in general also promotes businesses and dreams. The climax of the movie is also explained in the trailer after many hardships, both of them open their own company, and on the back of cloth where maximum times we see the label of ‘Made in China’, Varun Dhawan tells his friend to write where it is actually made – ‘Made in India’. This is the first movie which focuses on business scenarios in India and is a simple inspiration that nothing can stop you ever.

Their company’s name is ‘Sui Dhaaga – Made in India’. This movie compels us to think that to do anything of your own in life you need to make up your mind first and then start working in that direction, no matter what.
