Doing rounds on various social media platforms is the story of Eric, a firefighter in his 20s, who saved the life of an old woman in need in Denmark, going out of the way for her. We do not know how true this story is but the inspiration it gives is phenomenal.
This incident is very old. On November 13, 1953, in Denmark’s Copenhagen a life was saved. Thanks to Eric. At around 3 a.m. in the night, Eric received a call from an old lady who was in desperate need of help. But she did not remember where she lived – who she was – nothing at all! To make matters worse, the woman was losing her consciousness.
Eric’s brilliant idea and presence of mind did wonders.
A video by NTD tells a compelling story:
How many times have we been willing to go out of the way to help someone? What really is the value of life in our eyes? These are serious points to ponder.
