These Are The Actors Who Will Be Playing Politicians In ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’

The Accidental Prime Minister is in the news for a long time because it is being made on the life of former Prime Minister and economist, Manmohan Singh who served the country for 10 years. The movie is based on the book of the same name by ‘Sanjaya Baru’. The film revolves around the life of ‘Manmohan Singh’ and it is a political drama.

Recently, actor Anupam Kher who is essaying the role of Manmohan Singh shared the details about the entire cast of the film. Many people would be wondering which actor would be playing which politician on the screen.

Singh’s wife Gursharan Kaur’s role will be played by Divya Seth Shah. The crucial and opposition leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s role will be done by Ram Avatar Bhardwaj. For the role of Sonia Gandhi a German actress, Suzanne Bernert who has previously appeared in several Bollywood films and also in a TV serial will be seen.

Now coming to the Gandhi clan. Rahul Gandhi’s role will be played by ‘My Name is Khan’ actor, Arjun Mathur. Rahul’s sister Priyanka Gandhi’s role will be played by ‘Lipstick Under my Burkha’ actress Aahana Kumra. We will also be witnessing the intense actor Akshay Khanna in the movie as he is playing the role of a media adviser, Sanjaya Baru to Manmohan Singh.

‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ is directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and it is slated to release on 21st December 2018.

The film has already got into controversies as the director, Vijay Ratnakar Gutte’s firm ‘VRG Digital Corp Pvt Ltd’ has been accused of taking fake invoices of Rs 34 crore for the animation and manpower services received from the company, Horizon Outsource Solutions Pvt Ltd, and this company itself has come under the scanner of the government agency for a GST fraud of around Rs 170 crore.

Vijay Gutte the director has been sent to the judicial custody at the Arthur Road Jail till the 14th of August.
