Being in a live-in relationship in a country like India seems to be like a taboo. In the industry, there are many couples who are bold about their relationship status and are living with their partners. There are people who hide it from the media and do not want any kind of intimate details of theirs to be shared in public.

The society has portrayed the status of live-in relationships as a sin, and according to them, it is very wrong to be in a relationship where a couple should not live together before marriage.B ut slowly and gradually times are changing in India and people are getting more comfortable with the fundamental of ‘live-in’.

In the Bollywood industry, live-in is not a taboo. There are so many couples who have first lived in a live-in relationship and then got married to the same person.

Here are some couples in the industry who have allegedly been in live-in relationships:

1) Late actress Sridevi and Boney Kapoor:

In the 90’s the couple had started to live together in a live-in relationship. Sridevi was on the peak of her career, and Boney Kapoor who was a producer-director then. They believed that they should get to know themselves first and then got married in 1996.

2) Ranvir Shorey and Konkana Sen Sharma:

Konkana Sen Sharma and husband Ranvir Shorey both are actors and before getting married, they were living in. They got married later and were blessed with a son, Haroon. The couple split a few years ago and were very vocal about it.

3) Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao:

Aamir Khan after getting divorced from Reena Dutta lived for nearly 3 years with Kiran Rao, whom he had met on the sets of ‘Lagaan’. Rao was the assistant director of the movie. The duo knew each other for a long time. But they took out time for each other by living together and then finally they got married in 2005, and now they are happily married, blessed with a son, Azad.
