There are some partnerships in the Bollywood industry that create the best magic on screen. A duo like that of Karan Johar and Shahrukh Khan, who keep on surprising the audience with their work, is a hit.
Similarly, there are many other jodis who have worked together in the past and have been super hits. Whether these partnerships are between two actors, or an actor and a director, we miss them.
They used to work but for a long time but are not working along now:
Karan Johar and Kajol:
We’ve seen them working together and more than this they were best of friends in personal life too. Kajol is considered to be Johar’s lucky charm. Films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham and My Name Is Khan, were their career’s best until now. The reasons for not working along are many but it is speculated that Ajay Devgn’s film ‘Shivaay’ and Johar’s film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ clashed at the box office and the latter outnumbered the former which caused a rift. However, there are reports that they have now patched up.
Nadeem and Shravan:
One of the best music composers the Bollywood industry had. Both have them have worked in more than 100 movies, but when Nadeem’s name was on the suspect list of music tycoon, Gulshan Kumar’s murder list he fled and choose to live in the UK. One of the best works of both of them is the music for ‘Aashiqui’, the songs are fresh and loved among the viewers even today.
Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar:
You can call them the best comic pair of the industry. Priyadarshan knows how to win the hearts of the audience by making them laugh, and Akshay Kumar is one actor who has this art inbuilt in himself. Since ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’ the duo has not worked along as it is said Akshay Kumar keeps on working with different directors.
Sunny Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi:
What a pair! Ghayal, Damini and Ghatak – all three movies have played pivotal roles in shaping the duo’s career. Rajkumar Santoshi is known for picking up different issues and making movies on it, similarly, the same thing happened when Sunny Deol and Santoshi both of them wanted to make movies on the revolutionary fighter, Bhagat Singh. Due to this reason both of them split. Things became more bitter when Santoshi’s ‘The Legend of Bhagat Singh’ became a super hit and ‘23rd March 1931: Shaheed’ which started Sunny and Bobby Deol both, became a flop, as both the movies released on the same day.
