Abby, the dachshund, and Bonedigger, the male Barbary lion, are going to steal your heart! Imagine a domestic and a wild animal bonding and posing for photographs with each other in real life. We have seen a lot of that in the movies but for the first time, we are seeing it for real!
At the G.W. Exotic Animal Park in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, the duo is gaining a lot of popularity.
“They’re always just loving on each other,” John Reinke, the park manager told Ripleys.
The lion, Bonedigger does not like any other animal inside its cage other than Abby, the dog. They met each other when they were only six weeks old. There are other dashchunds who are also attached to Bonedigger and if they are taken out of the lion’s cage, it whines.
The G.W. Exotic Animal Park re-opened in 2016 and houses 1400 animals who have nowhere to go. The park offers tours and educational programmes for visitors. It has over 237 big cats and breeds exotic animals.
