Bollywood actor and dancer Varun Dhawan who is the son of successful director David Dhawan is a very hardworking person. Dhawan was a naughty child since childhood. As described by his parents, they had a very tough time to discipline their son – he was something like the character he played in Student Of The Year where he played the role of a spoilt rich kid.
During the time of the shooting of his debut film, father David did not visit his son nor did he see any clips of the film until it was released, as per sources.
The versatile dancer has worked as an assistant director to Karam Johar for ‘My Name Is Khan’ – it is said that Varun was not launched by his father because David Dhawan always wanted his son to go out and discover his own space in the industry.
Finally after the success of his debut movie his father made a movie starring Dhawan and he paid the tribute to actor ‘Govinda’ by playing the lead in ‘Main Tero Hero’ which was a disaster at the box office. Irrespective of the failures coming his way, the actor has not stopped for anything. He acted in ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ opposite Alia Bhatt which was a major commercial success.
After this came ‘Badlapur’ which was directed by Sriram Raghavan. His role of a cold-blooded husband who waits for 15 years to avenge the death of his wife and son was appreciated. Dhawan had to isolate himself from his social life in order to get inside the character. The film got him a nomination for the best actor.
As per speculations, the ‘Badlapur’ actor rejected Raghavan’s movie in which he was supposed to do a role of a musician who fakes being a blind person, which was to release soon after ‘Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil.
Now let’s talk about his dancing skills. While shooting for ABCD2 the actor was shooting in such an extreme condition that he was given a special blanket made by NASA, which is used by the astronauts to maintain warm body temperature.
Varun Dhawan has done many commercial movies like Rohit Shetty’s ‘Dilwale’ opposite SRK, which the actor regretted acting in later, as per some reports.
The ‘Dishoom’ actor was seen once again paired alongside Alia Bhatt for the sequel ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ which was a love story and both the actors’ performance was praised. Varun and Alia are one of the finest on-screen couples till date.
His last film ‘Judwaa 2’ opposite Jacqueline Fernandez and Tapsee Pannu, directed by father David Dhawan was a remake of David Dhawan’s old film ‘Judwaa’ which starred Salman Khan, Karishma Kapoor and Rambha. This film did well at the box office. This was the first time Dhawan was seen in a comic role.
Currently, Varun Dhawan is shooting for director Shoojit Sircar’s ‘October’ which is a romantic thriller and is ready to release on 13th April 2018. He will also be working for the first time with ‘Anushka Sharma’ in ‘Sui Dhaaga’ which is based on PM Narendra Modi’s Make In India initiative.
