Remember how you loved cycling as a child? The joy of owning your own cycle of your favourite colour and riding it with your friends was one of the most precious feelings of our childhood.

1. It is eco-friendly:
While breathing fresh air is becoming difficult in most metros, cycling is the answer to it. Cycling does not need fuel, doesn’t need to be charged and does not harm the environment. It is a beautiful green-living option to get from one place to another. And guilt-free.
2. It is great for your heart:
Cycling is one of the best forms of cardio exercise. It helps strengthen your cardiovascular health. A study conducted by the Purdue University in Indiana, United States found out that cycling can cut the risk of heart diseases by as much as 50 percent.
3. It is fun:
You can get through the narrow lanes in which your car can’t pass through. You will get stuck for lesser time in traffic jams – and you will enjoy riding a bicycle because is really fun. Most metro cities have dedicated cycling tracks for enthusiasts. There are many people who travel hundreds of kilometres on their special cycles for the fun and high it gives.
4. You’ll lose weight:
Just by choosing a cycle as your mode of transportation you will loose weight without making much extra effort. Losing weight and strengthening your leg muscles is a win-win. It is one of the few activities that is a perfect mix of a work out and fun.
5. You’ll save money:
Some people might think that riding a cycle to work or anywhere isn’t practical. But it very much is if you go a step ahead and buy a bit more advanced bicycle with gears. By doing this your fuel cost comes down to zero. Imagine the money you will save!
